Kevin Hursh was born and raised on a family farm near Cabri in southwestern Saskatchewan, where he and his wife Marlene continue to own and operate a grain farm growing a wide array of crops. The cropping mix typically includes kabuli chickpeas, maple peas, Canary seed, brown mustard and large green lentils. The farm also collaborates with neighboring cattle producers for mutual benefit. Kevin and Marlene have three boys – Aaron, Nathan and Braden, who all have their own careers, but help out on the farm as their schedules allow.
